We provide several services for home buyers, real estate agents, and builders of new homes. These services are briefly listed in the Table below. Discounts exist for multiple services. Additional costs apply to homes with more than one HVAC system or homes with more than 3000 ft² of conditioned space.
New Home Walkthrough – Provide home buyer and/or the real estate agent a piece of mind before a bid is submitted. During the walkthrough, the auditor will visually examine the home’s lighting systems, appliances, insulation levels, and HVAC system looking for issues that could become problematic down the road.
Insulation and Air Barrier Commission – Verify the insulation and air barriers meet design and/or 2009 IEEC performance path criteria.
Infiltration Commission – Perform independent, 3rd party verification and testing of whole building air leakage using a door blower test.
Duct Leakage Commission – Perform independent, 3rd party verification and testing of conditioned air distribution system (i.e. duct work) using a duct blaster.
HERS Certification – Perform final inspection, verification, and testing of the new home and determine final HERS score and present HERS Certificate.
